Looking at picking up a Remington 700 XCR COMPACT in 223, and was wondering if the barrel can be threaded for a suppressor mount?

I was reading about coatings and have seen where some people say coatings such as Nitriding cause the metal to harden too much to machine it after the coating is applied. Is Remington's TriNyte the same?

Also anyone reading this that has a XCR compact in 223, I would like to know what the barrel profile is at the muzzle end is, (I am guessing .820 but not sure) and how long the un-fluted portion before the crown is. Thanks for any info you may have.

This is old but I am interested in this if anyone happens to know! Only thread on the forum I could find on the matter using the search option.
