Is there any advantages/disadvantages for either blued or stainless actions. I am looking to have a new rifle built in which the barrel will be stainless and I think I want the action to be stainless as well. I'm am looking at it solely from the overall looks of the rifle but functionality, durability, etc. is a factor.

Stainless resists rust and can be polished.....those are two things blue can't do as well....that aside, 6 vs half dozen.

That's pretty much what I figured but wasn't sure if there was anything beyond the obvious. I didn't know if there was a difference in durability or overall strength. Thanks for the reply HM!

Most of my stuff end up painted to one degree or another.

Stainless is less maintenance, which makes it a winner for me
