Remmy 700 SPS Tac 20" BB Velocities

I did search for 20 inch BB velocities and i cant seem to find good info...... anyone one that has cronoed there remmy 700 20 inch barrel and can share there info i appreciate it.... type of bullet,type of powder and amount. thanks again for info...

I get about 2700fps outta 168 of all flavor, 2600 outta 175mks, and 2550 outta the 200 smks. These are warm loads but its not outta the ordinary for these rifles.

if i may ask what are you using for powder ? and how much...

im running varget and IMR 4064 but i dont as of right now have a crono to take out to the range.....

Below is some recent test data from my SPS-T

Varget
Winchester brass
CCI BR-2 primers
175g SMKs
2.8206" average OAL
32F, 750 ft
15ft chronograph

I use Varget for the 168's as its the most consistant velocity wise.

Load is something like 46gr varget behind 168 amax/mks/hornady bthp match. gets right around 2700 and is quite acurate. I've subbed in IMR 4064 and RE15 for these without probelm (work it up on your own)

For the 175mks, i use IMR 4064 exclusivly. I've tried the other two mentioned but didn't get to 2600fps (the goal) Shoots very well and holds to M40 tragectery specs. (as I under stand it)

I've just started with the 200's and have less than 60 down range. using RE17 at 50gr in win brass, CCI250's, and seated to 2.825 in getting 2600fps. The acuracy was about 1.5 to maybe 2 moa out at 600yards this weekend. I'll be revisiting that load to find accuracy.

ya i will be playing with some variants of varget and ImR 4064 its that i want to see some velocities for the 20" so i can input some ballistic calculations for longer range........... thanks for the info so far guys

I run 45.5gr of Varget pushing a 175gr SMK at 2674fps, Fed210M primer and Lapua brass. I am getting 1/2moa groups at 200. 65* & 3000'

have you tried the round past 200 yards ?

This is almost exactly where I am.

168 smk with 3031 2750
175 smk with varget 2650
208 amax with n550 2500-2550

I am running a 18" 7mm-08 with 162gr Amax and 42.3gr of IMR4064.....gets me 2600fps MV. Going to try out some RL17 after the next match.

Not your caliber but I belive IMR4064 is a good powder for short barreled rifles, it seems to be a bit temp sensative though....not crazy just a bit.

now 4064 i havent tried yet but will. i took it out to load some rounds in 4064 when i did the last loads but ended up with just Varget loads.
