Does any one know if the diameter/radius of these 2 receivers is the same. And does any one have the measurements for the scope base holes on the Howa short. Don't have a Howa to measure, so hope someone can help me out. Thanks,

I had a cheep set of bases for a weatherby vangard (basicly the same as a howa) long action that fit perfetly on my remmy short action if that helps.

The 2 piece bases from Remington will fit the Howa 1500, irrelebant of long or short action.
but the 1 piece rails from the short action Rem will not fit the short Howa because the distance between the 2 middle holes is different.
the long action remington rails for the most part will fit straight onto both Rem and Howa
