Who has the best communication and gps combination for remote hunting?

Feature-rich GPS with 5 mile range for walkie-talkie?

If I have read Midland Radio site correctly, FRS (family services) you can get .5 watt-2 watt 1/2mi- 2mi without a license. Above that a license is required and possibly a repeater tower. If you know of anything that contradicts please advise.

Not looking to take the HAM classes but do want a radio that actually works in woods for a mile or so

Probably been replaced by better models but I had a garmin rino 650 that was pretty spiffy. Color gps, can download sat image overlays, 2-way with positional data if you want/need it.

Looks like the latest model is 5 watt gmrs, thats up to 20 miles. Exceeds typical hunting scenario. FCC probably get mad at you if you were using the 2-way at full power all the time, pretty sure a license is required. But for hunting, like say 2 different stands or radioing camp, you probably don’t need full power to communicate. These radios let you text message too.
