Gunsmithing Remove Blue LocTite Residue

I have some Nightforce bases with Blue Loctite residue on the bottom (The white stuff in the picture). It has formed a thin, but hard layer on the bottom of the bases. I tried removing it with Acetone, but to no avail. Any ideas on how to get rid of it without damaging the finish? Or, if that's not possible, simply get rid of it without damaging the bases?

Try some heat..ie propane torch, stove, etc. Should soften it up.

Epoxy paint remover will take it right off, just let it sit for a few minutes.

Use the torch at very low temp...

I have used a "pyro pen" Weller butane soldering iron withthe heat tip to get it off small parts before...

Heat, Kroil and a brush.

Acetone, if you do not have a bottle of it try fingernail polish remover as they are mainly acetone.

Torch worked great. I applied a bit of heat and the LocTite chipped right off. Thanks for the help.
