Is there an easy way to remove blue loctite used for bedding a scope mount to a receiver?

I’m selling a rifle and the buyer doesn’t want the one piece scope mount.

I’m planning to take off the stock and use a heat gun to heat up the receiver. I’m hoping the receiver will expand more than the loctite...and the blue loctite bedding will “pop” off the receiver

Tnx in advance!

Yes. Remove the screws and wipe the locktite off. If you actually want it bedded, use epoxy like Marine-tex, JB weld, or something of the sort. Putting locktite under it, is not bedding it. Also when bedding, one of the main goals is to not glue the two pieces together.

Thank you sir

Dang....the other site I go to said using loctite to bed a mount is ok.....that a maker of mounts also said it was ok. The other site also mentioned using an epoxy but loctite was what I had on hand

On well.

Remove the screws and whack the mount with a rubber mallet in one direction or another. Scrape off the residue with your thumbnail.
I use blue loctite under mounts all the time to keep moisture out from under there.

Thank you sir

What maker? I am aware badger said to use it to keep moisture out from under the mount.
