I have a DPMS LR .308 in the box at home that I'm ready to start working on. The 1" barrel is much to large, so going to send it out to be profiled to my liking. The forend looks to be a 2 piece. Don't know if they loctite them together or not. Will warming it up a bit and using a strap wrench separate the sections. I'll make the barrel nut tool, but just curious if anybody has a better suggestion than the strap wrench.

DPMS loctite's the handguard tube to the nut.
Hit it with the blue wrench and it comes off with a strap wrench.
