Just curious if anyone has ever sent a Manners stock back and had the inlet refilled and recut for a different action ?
Haven't sent an inquiry to Manners on the subject yet was just curious if it's something they would do or something others might have possibly done.

I believe LRI has done some, though if I recall it was an intensive process to do right thus not cheap.

I thought about doing it myself if Manners doesn't seem interested in messing with it.
The primary issue with that is I'm not sure what to fill it with, it doesn't have the consistency or density of epoxy but seems more like Bondo and don't want to muck it up experimenting.
It's currently inletted and bedded for a Savage 10 with factory DBM but would like to be able to put my other Kelbly Atlas in it with an M5 bottom metal.

It might be easier to sell and pay the difference in a stock with the right inlet but what fun would that be ? Have you watched the McMillan videos where they fill the stocks before inletting ? I looks like fiberglass fill of some sort ?

I worked at LRI for a time and did several modifications, re-inletting for different actions, installing adjustable cheek hardware, etc... My advice to you: Sell it and buy what you want already set up.

If you want to tinker fuck with it, mix up some 2-part epoxy/resin with microbaloons and fill the stock, then inlet it for what you want. I would sub-inlet the recoil lug area first and fill it with a more 'pure' epoxy fill (throw in some chopped fiber if you want to be real fancy), too. It's not fun, nor the easiest thing in the world to do even with the right tools... and you're going to probably have to refinish the thing when you're done, too because parts of the old inlet will show outside the new inlet.

As Ledzep said, epoxy and microballoons. I have filled many stocks in and reinletted them or for different barrel profiles. In the end the stock get a new paint job.
