    NorCal
Sunday November 5 we will shoot COF #2, Long Range

COF #2 is our mid-level long range COF.
    * It’s a small step up from COF #1 allowing you to utilize the skills you’ve learned and apply them in different ways.
    * It will challenge your mental game with head shots and some weak side shooting.
    * It offers more time to work on your wind reading skills in a match environment.
    * This COF is very manageable for new shooters that have shot our practice sessions or COF #1

Here is the link to the Course of Fire: Click me to review COF #2: Long Range

If you wish to come to the match and you are not pre-registered, you do so knowing you may not get to shoot if we are full. We will not accept more than 56 shooters. Members then the Standby list will be given priority.

    RESULTS:

Wow, what a difference a day makes. Rain for Friday and Saturday's practices, then a nice cool sunny fall day for today's match. Light to medium breeze with just enough gusts and twitchiness to keep shooters on their toes the entire match.

Thanks to everyone who came out to shoot today. We had 46 shooters and more than a couple first timers with us today. Temperatures were chilly to start the day but it warmed up once the sun came out with those nice clear skies.

Congratulations to David Skitarelic for the win! I understand he only had one black spotter all day long.

Our first venture into utilizing PractiScore went pretty well with no major problems thus far. We want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we make this tramsition. I think that when we entered the quantity of X's into PractiScore, it added in the shooter's Final Score as well, something we'll have to figure out. We decided that it would be best to jump in with both feet and work through the kinks on the fly. We anticipate things working more smoothly going forward as we become more proficient at utilizing this tool.

We received some somber news today as we lost a good friend, Rob Thomas last night. More information regarding services will be forthcoming as it becomes available. Rob meant a lot to many of us and he will be missed.

Here are the stats and scores from the match:
    46 shooters
10 Hit their Cold Bore Shot (22%) - that number is pretty low! Maybe the 6 mph full value winds at 300 yards had something to do with that. Usually the hit percentage is mich higher, closer to 40-50%
    255 Average score
    353 Average score Top Ten
