I believe this is a new record for entries for one of Toms matches, 82 entries. Saturday had a much calmer day although Sunday was supposed to be the better of the two but Mother Nature got her days mixed up again. I'd rather see a steady harsher wind than the light but ever changing stuff we had on Sunday, you can't judge while making your shots on those slight changes.
An example, today Dale was shooting before me with his handgun and the wind would be blowing so hard at the bench it would blow stuff off it but he was able to hold dead center on all the 650/720 yard targets, the wind would stop where we were and some shooters were having to hold nearly a mil at the target. Crazy stuff, but that is what makes it so challenging at Rayners.
Congratulations to Dave Moore for another win, on Saturday he had 380 going into the last stage (900/1000) and only needed twenty points or two hits for that magic 400 but didn't connect on any which is not his norm on that stage.
A big Thank You to Tom & Carolyn for allowing us all to use their facilities and putting on a great match. I saw Tom and Jim Bragg working hard removing and clearing vegetation behind a lot of the stages and it really helped, a lot easier to see all of our misses. As usual the food was great and a thank you to everyone that prepared it for us and make the match fun for all of us.
