Anyone have any info on this barrel? The price is tempting... but my better judgement says go with the White Oak barrel I'm waiting to get restocked.

I’ve got no experience with retro rifle barrels. But if you want an mk12 barrel call compass lake. Bet you’ll have a custom barrel in less than 14 days.
Bet your right. I’ve also got about 4 barrels laying around that were less than $150. 200 rnds later and minute of barn door accuracy they’ve all been replaced.
I’m just saying you get what you pay for. I’ve also got a white oak spr barrel I bought used. I have not shot it yet but it has an extremely long throat.
I'm inclined to agree with you, I guess I'll keep looking around. Going to look into the Douglas, though I believe they are too rich for my blood.

I was curious about that very barrel too. I was looking for a new 10.5" 556 barrel with chrome lining on the cheaper side. Don't want to spend DD, FN CHF money for a 10.5" HD gun but I like chrome lined barrels. I came upon their site and am pondering buying one of their 10.3" CL barrels...
I just browsed around their site and saw that very same barrel on sale. Almost grabbed one just to see, but I have too many 18"/20" barreled ARs already. But I am curios about the quality and what blanks they use?
Any of you guys have a Retro Rifles barrel?
Btw, the Douglas barrel is worth it. I'm biased as they are just down the road from me. I only have one Douglas barrel and it's been a great barrel. Compass Lake turned it for me, 20" service rifle profile.

If you want a generally very good barrel that won't break the bank, get one from AR Performance............usually very good to really good.
