1) The 38 billion dollars is over a ten year period, not in 2020. Makes a difference, huh?Hi,
So the USA gives Israel roughly 38 Billion Dollars in 2020 for everything from resettlement aide to military aide so....
1. Why does a USA manufacturer AND the USA Government have to get Israel's permission to sell ANYTHING to ANYONE they desire???
Sincerely,
Theis
2) They USA isn’t “giving” them shit. It is in the US interests to have a strong, democratic ally in the Middle East, and its money that is much better spent, rather than having their own base there, with all the problems that entails, ala Iraq. Actually, the US is getting a great ROI for what they’re getting in return.
3) As for why they ask permission? As it was mentioned above, Israel has an agreement with the US that assures they will have military superiority in the region. They have the right to nix a deal that would give another country a competitive advantage in that regard.
