Well after recieving my L-1 trig last week I noticed a little bit of creep developing. I did what the instructions said and contacted Rifle Basix before adjusting. Talk to Mr. Mitchell who was very kind to me and he also sent me the instructions for adjustments. My question is I tried adjusting the creep(sear) like the instructions said and felt like I corrected that aspect of it but then my trigger pull became harder. After trying to adjust the pull weight that came from the factory at 1.5lbs it doesnt want to adjust or Im doin something wrong? Any suggestions on what I should try or do would be appreciated.

Re: Rifle basix ?

i got a one of them a while back, i call them got the instruction but got the same problem, i end up putting oil inside of them lose a bit but i coundt get to break lower than 2lb was never perfect for me.(i also got a bit of creep)
at the end i return it got me a jewell i have never look back.

Re: Rifle basix ?

Thanks dive. If I cant getted adjusted properly or if someone doesnt have a solution besides returning it thats exactly what Im goin to do. It seems like the more I adjust the sear strength the better the trigger pull becomes but then I get more creep inturn. Id almost rather have a little creep then trigger that feels like 10lbs.

Re: Rifle basix ?

Well after trying to adjust the trigger I think I may have a defect. After trying to adjust the sear engagement the triggers pull weight becomes very stiff and then when I go to adjust the pull weight I cant seem to make any progress. Please any smiths out there with solution would be appreciated.

Re: Rifle basix ?

My brother runs a Rifle Basix and has had no issues. I have Shilen Comp models(1.5-3#) and love them. Just Monday, I got in another one for a current build.

Just me. I use the Shilens because they work for me.

Probably because your over travel screw in not adjusted correctly and you're forcing it.

If you had creep the only screw you should have had to touch was the sear engagement screw but if this is adjusted too much over travel will be affected.

If you need you can call or email but honestly if you have it screwed up too much to figure it out it would be better to call because it would take too much typing to try and help you.
