Forgive me if this is a dumb question. Long time shooter, new to bolt guns and groups. It's on a used .308 rpr I bought off gunbroker. Groups are only reliably 1 1/4. I'm able to do better with other guns. Is this my problem? Cause?

If it is that pitted on the crown, I would think the rest of the barrel is jacked as well.
it's not all the way around the crown, only the lower area. I don't see anything like it in the bore.
What ammo are you using, just because something says “Match” does mean it can it can hi a barn from inside it. Know any smiths? If not, where are you maybe someone here can find one.I'm not sure it's not me, one of the reason's I'm asking. Shooting handloads mainly, some commercial match. I can shoot sub moa with other rifles, and sometimes with this one. A friend with much more rifle experience than me has shot the RPR with the same results. I can call my shots with a pistol. I see the crosshairs when the gun goes off and the bullet doesn't always go there. I would assume this would work with a rifle at 100 yards, please set me straight if I'm wrong. I got access to a rifle range about a year ago and have been there nearly every weekend for the last year. (The scope is an Athlon Cronos, everything is torqued)
