Fieldcraft Rifle ghillie/wrap

Thought I'd share a pic of the rifle ghillie I made a while back. It blends very well here in my AO and I use it primarily when I am after a 'yote or two. Have a ghillie in the works to match the rifle wrap, will get some pics of it when completed.

Does it matter that you have material touching the barrel?

The wrap doesn't put any stress on the barrel. It ties at the front towards the muzzle and merely lays over it. The wrap itself doesn't have any effect on accuracy due to that.

Can you work the action and reload the rifle quickly with the ghillie cover on, especially whilst under stress?

can you post a few pics of it off the rifle? how does it attach to the rifle?

CC,

You can manipulate the action easily with the wrap on the rifle. The back of the wrap was made long to lay over your head. If not using it that way, you simply lay the rest up over the scope.

I would be a little worried about a couple shots later the rifle rag and me in the ghillie turning into a burning pile of tinder lol

Still waiting for plans! sorry to repeat but I love this design and want to make one before deer season really gets rollin

Sorry to say but that's WAY too much material on that rifle. It looks like you just threw a bunch of jute on top of it.

like someone mentioned I'd be very surprised if you can operate the bolt, handle malfunctions and just run the gun under stress with all that on there.

Do some research on the net and you'll find better solutions for hiding the system.
