Rifle height above the barrel

How do I account for a 20 MOA scope mount on my Hawkeye 6.5 PRC Long-Distance rifle, when putting data into a ballistics calculator that wants to know the height above the barrel? Since, the rifle is not parallel to the scope due to the 20 MOA rail?

Measure from center of chamber to center of Windage knob. It doesn’t care about the cant because when you zero your rifle you account for that.

I don't remember where I read it but someone suggested, for more accurate measurement, using the hot gas port on the side of the action instead of trying to guess the center through the ejection port.

That’s fine too but may not work on every action. You’ll get it within an 1/8 of an inch. That’s plenty accurate enough.
