Re: Right gun store in Vancouver, BC

Here are a few that I regularly visit:

Reliable Arms (3227 Fraser Street) in Vancouver
http://www.reliablegun.com/Reliable.html

Wanstalls (22338 Lougheed Highway) out in Port Moody

Both have very friendly staff. I highly recommend both.

Wholesale sports isn't too bad (20175 Langley Bypass). The staff is pretty friendly but the whole store is geared towards hunting/camping/fishing/boating/car camping...etc. Not so much a dedicated firearms/hunting store.

Stay the hell away from Italian Sporting Good in Surrey. They don't care about the customers and just want to rip you off.

Amen to that. I learned the same thing when I lived down there. Though, there was this one shop on 104th, or 106th.... I can't remember the name or exact location. It was 'interesting', but not sure if it's still there even.

Yeah that was a store called Hunters Sporting Goods. It got bought out because no one went there and was changed to Italian Sporting Goods

Re: Right gun store in Vancouver, BC

Juno, not to be argumentative here, but let me digress:

The particular store I'm referring to, was not Hunters, IIRC. Hunters was on King George Hwy, and about 106th, or so. Correct?

The shop I'm talking about was a little one, in a strip mall, beside a corner store. Young fella owned/ran the place. It was not far from Guildford Towne Center at all, but I can't for the life of me, remember it or his name.

But while I was in there, I had asked him who was the best AR builder going. His reply was "Me, of course". You can imagine my thoughts.

Like I said, I"m not arguing. What I am doing, is having a really hard time remembering what/where/when. So I figured that by adding a bit more, with some details that I recollect.... you might go "ohhh,,,,, THAT place..."

Get it?

Ok, this is how it works.

Itialian is like this, if you dont walk in with $2500 or more, case in your hand saying "sell me something, sell me something, whatever you tell me is best ill take" then chances are you wont like them, I have been in there three times, and called once, Three times I got NO help, and brushed off when I spoke up to ask anything or try to get help, but mind you I'm 23, and most people my age dont pull down the coin that I do.
When I called, I got transfered to a bunch of different people and then flat out hung up on for asking if there are going to be getting any AMAX 168's anytime soon.
Long story short BAD people there.

Reliable, Talk to shane or john, or the old guy if you want help and your white, and the rest of the people who work there are asian, and if you not asian then they dont seem to want to help you. There is a balled white guy there to, but he is a smart ass who thinks he is how shit but is more of a wet fart then anything else.

Wanstalls, talk to the chubbyish bigger craig(there is two of them) and your golden.

*shane=good people
*john=good people
*craig=good people

And thats the morel of todays lesson
