Hi guys,
Patterned our rimfire matches after the SH's monthlies and now we have a match almost every week with modified SH short range courses - thanks guys - it has kind of caught on here slowly but surely with matches up almost every week. Pictures of one of our matches can be viewed at

Next week dec 5 we are having an all steel plate match (2.5 inch rectangular plates) at 25 all the way to 120 meters - plate must fall to score.
Check out our website: http://lrrp.weebly.com
and you can see the modified SH courses ( we do give credit in all our courses derived from the SH monthlies )
Best to all of you and keep on shooting..

Looks like you had a great shoot, the green grass was nice to look at.
Yesterday when I did some shooting there was 4 inches of sugar snow on the ground with a very light crust. Dropped my stapler out of my pocket trudging out to 50 yards and had a tough time finding it.

Good God Clodhopper, the most we get here is rain and an occasional caterpillar of sorts... yeh we had fun, we are going for a 25-120 meter match on the fifth of December - all 2 to 3 inch rectangular plates placed all over the area. Will get pictures and send you - that place has got some nice trees and bushes and grass - as well as targets.

Now that's just all right, jcg!

Our local club where I live will be doing modified SH 4 position matches next year while using the NRA TQ-3/5 target.

Re: Rimfire matches on this side of the World

HiJoe Martin,
Yep, we have been modifying them too. Have added no shoots and have spread the targets forcing the shooter to twist or swivel from right to left. During the competitions the scoring takes quiet some time so we will be trying out a new format - check them out - have added some of the others - for the 50 yard TQ3/1 limited the scoring areas to 10, 8, and 5 points - to simplify things all together

I like those targets. Good competitive challanges that I'd like to try myself. If you don't mind I think I'd like to duplicate a few of those and see how our club does with them.

Your program puts me in mind of the tactical shoots that are gaining in popularity just about everywhere you go. Very nicely done!

Also, allow me to compliment you on your website. Very nice indeed! I'm going to add it to my favorites. Thanks jcg.

Hi Joe Martin,
By all means, that's why i uploaded it up to the site for anyone to download and have fun. They are SH derivatives so they belong to SH and all the guys who want to download them.
Hope you and your friends have fun with them.
Am prepping for our next shoot - 25-120 meters - all steel plates...will send pictures and format once we have it finalized (with only how many more days to go!)
