Are the stocks from the SavageMKII JTV worth anything in the aftermarket? This one doesnt quite fit me as well as I'd like.

Are the stocks from the SavageMKII JTV worth anything in the aftermarket? This one doesnt quite fit me as well as I'd like.

Whoever the original owner was, they paid a little extra for that stock as compared to the base model. Try posting it for sale at rimfirecentral.

When you say it doesn't fit you do you mean LOP or check weld? I've got a MKII the MAKO verison the stocks look real close to the being the same other than the cut outs for barrel cooling. The ones on mine are cut like shark fins to go with the Mako Shark name.
Just thinking if it's LOP you could adjust it with shems if to short or take some off the butt of the stock if it's to long.
Check out http://www.sharpshootersupply.com/ they make stocks named (JVT)they maybe able to fix it the way you want or maybe set you up with one of the correct dimensions to fit you. Look under the tab rimfire stocks!
