Re: Rimfire Tactical - Boone NC

For those of you that havent been to Boone to shoot, its a great range with great folks. I have shot this match a couple times after i got done shooting the monthly high power match. Challenging course of fire, especially with the wacky wind currents that come down thru the valley there.

If you are anywhere near Boone, one should check out this match.

Re: Rimfire Tactical - Boone NC

The Match today was a bust. The weatherman called in a cold front with wind. The wind meter showed 15 - 20 mph for the steady with gusts every minute or so to 30+ (37 once). We decided to pull the plug and we'll shoot a double next month.
For grins I shot some targets @ 100 yds and the drift ran from 3" to 12" with Federal Auto Match.
We'll try it again June 12.
