Rifle Scopes Ring height question

Going to mount a NXS 5.5-22x50 on a 20 moa USO 1-piece base on my Rem 700. Medium or High rings? Anyone have a similar setup that can recommend?

I have this same scope mounted on a Badger Rail. I used Badger Ordnance Medium High (1.0") Rings and have about .2" between the objective lens and the barrel (#7 Contour) and about .15" between the Butler Creek Cap and the barrel.

It would help if we knew your barrel contour.

But mediums are usually a good bet!

I had this scope in Nightforce Ultralight .885" rings on a Warne 20 MOA rail. Mounted on my old 260AI with a 1" straight contour barrel and it cleared on that with probably 1/8" to the objective bell and "tight" with a Butler Creek cap on it.

The barrel is stock Rem 700P.

I went Med NF rings. Let you know when it is finally mounted.
