Currently I have a set of TPS lows which measure .925, on my R700 with a 56mm scope. The problem I have is the scope is so low I am unable to get any type of cover on the front of the scope. Ordering the next height which is a step of .15, now puts me about .28 +- clearance between barrel and the bottom of the scope. I've been pleased with TPS rings, but now I left looking for another manufacture.
Looking at Seekins and they offer a ring that that is .045 taller then the TPS I'm currently running. With Butler Creek cap thickness of .073, it should still leave me with enough room to run a cover, while still keeping the scope at a reasonably tight to the barrel.
Anyone come up with other options and suggestion it would be appreciated. I don't have pocket deep enough to stick a Spuhr mount on, as much as I would like to run one.
