Rifle Scopes ring height

Hi, I have just purchased a Super Sniper 20 x 42 scope which is going on my Rem 40X. The rings that I want to use are the Burris signature zee rings. Upon laying a straight edge across both of the weaver mounts, and out to about where the end of the scope will be, I have about 4 to 5/16" of clearance btwn. top of barrel and straightedge. My ques. is this. Will I have enough clearance if I go with Medium height rings? I do not have the scope as yet, due in next week, so I can't measure the front obj. Hopeing that I do not have to order rings twice just to get it to work. Thank you.
