Joebob,
Is that question asked as a consumer or seller of Burris rings as JoeBoboutfitters.com?

I, as a consumer, bought Burris XTR rings for years for guns. They seemed like pretty solid rings for the price and strength. I don't shoot beyond ~300 yards, and have never been into competitive long range shooting, so am not well versed in some of the "higher end" products. It was just a simple question. Its better to hear from consumers who use/buy products than read a marketing report.

as far as what makes nightforce better, they are anodized aluminum with titanium connection points, which make them stronger than steel, lighter, and less prone to react to different environments. they also don't require lapping. </div></div>
Gotya. That makes sense. The price of materials alone jumps the price to manufacturer substantially. Titanium is also much harder to work with.
