Looking for some rings and mounts for my buddy’s new Tikka T3 338 Win Mag. He wants to get a Vortex Viper 4X12X40 for it.
Are the rings that come with them that bad?
I have researched the Optilocks but hear they are overpriced don’t sit very low and the screws are soft?
Not sure about the Tally they are not much different in price than the rings that come with the gun, are they and upgrade?
Looked at the Burris, like the concept of the Zee Rings and the windage adjustment but not sure that one dovetail mount will hold a 338 Win Mag?
Should I look at with an EGW picatinny rail and Weaver or picatinny rings?
Any suggestions he is looking to keep rings and mounts under $100?
