I started working with RL-17 in my .260AI this past fall and winter. I've had the best results with 140gr bullets. Strange thing is I can't get the 130gr bullets to go as fast as the 140's. Anyway, all of my load work was in cool to very cold temps. I went to a long range precision rifle class 2 weeks ago and shot out to 1,200 yards with this load. The temps were in the mid to high 80's and bright sun the whole time. My load stayed very consistent in those temps. No pressure signs and my calculated drops were right on to 800 yards and very close for the rest of the yardages.
I really enjoyed the class and learned a lot about me, my rifle and my loads. I'm looking forward to next year's class.
