RL16 reloading data for the 6mm CM

Ive not seen a burn rate chart with 16 on it yet, that’s good info. Can you link me to that chart?

I’ve used RL16 quite a bit from 87gr bullets in 6 creed, to 147’s in 6.5 creed, and most everything in between. The 16 always takes about .5 gr more to match h4350 velocities at a given charge, and the 16 seems to be developing a little less pressure too. That’s why you’ll see people running a fair bit more of it generally, and with a more velocity. Using the typical back off and work up, you’ll be good.

In my 6xc using a 105 rdf 39.4 H4350 got me 2980 fps, 39.8 gr of RL16 got me 3070.

H4350 started seeing pressure at 40 grains, RL16 started seeing pressure at 40 too.

Your creed has a bit more volume but 39 grains of each shouldnt blow your rifle up. But disclaimer and all that about starting low at 38 and working up.

I did see it the other day, but can't find it now.

Thanks, looking at the burn tables isn't RL16 slightly faster than H4350? Take your point that they are very similar so will work up loads using H4350 data.
For some reason you can always use more RL16, not sure if faster, or slower, but definitely a different composition that historically allows for more speed.
