I have a Savage .260 with a 22" barrel. I am currently loading 143 ELD-X at 2.900 with 42.5gr of H4350. I have a whole bunch of Reloder 26 that I use for my 7 Mag loads. What would be a good starting point and does anyone have experience with 26 in a 260?

If it works in the 260 like the 6 Lapua, you will load 2g more than H4350 and gain 50-80fps. But obviously you want to work up to it.
Most everyone says it is too slow for the 6mm. But I have not found that to be true at all.

in my rifle, Lapua brass...42.5 H4350 and the 140Hybrids sing ....but found I can run 48.0gr R26 with no pressure signs and good accuracy running heavier 147gr bullets- working on seating depth/fine tuning now.

Agreed with Oinco. I'm getting +50fps with RL26 on the 6L w/o pressure signs over H4350, where pressure signs are showing.
Some call RL26 a mystery/unicorn powder. I don't know if that is so, but it seems to be breaking rules with the 6L.
