Rifle Scopes RMR/Docter Optic/Burris on your scope

I see these in photos from time to time, especially on Semi-Autos.

I am looking at adding one to by bolt gun (a trijicon Mini Dot that was mounted on a Glock for display and never sold).

How well has this worked?

I am going to run this bolt gun at Thunder Ranch Oregon, Urban rifle course (a carbine course). Scope is a Leupold 3.5-10x40 with M1s and a TMR reticle.
