Not much out there on this rifle, other than stories about it when it was very first introduced.

Anyone here have one? Any comments on reliability?

Only neg I see are the price and the lack of a chrome lined barrel....

Re: Rock River PDS

got to say, i love my rock river, not the same one your looking at, i have the 26" varmint..

i also have a friend that has one of their m4's, and he loves it also...

i would buy another RRA..

Re: Rock River PDS

I took it out twice before going back to work, and I fired a couple hundred rounds. It cycled flawlessly with Herter's steel cased 55 and 62gr. I also shot several other types of factory ammo with no failures.

This is the first piston carbine AR that I have fired, and I like the recoil impulse. It seems a little "sharper" than a typical DI, but I like that it feels solid without the twang of the recoil spring in the stock.

Cleaning was a breeze. Literally one patch and the bolt carrier was clean. Same with the receiver.

Ok, thanks for the info...

I played with one at the gun store 3 months back. Its sold, and I'm hoping to cross paths with one again to decide for sure if I want one..

Re: Rock River PDS

I have a PDS carbine. It's been a great little rifle so far. 500 rounds, mixed ammo, all factory new, no failures of any kind. Mine is probably a 1 - 1.5 MOA rifle. I hope to use it for 3 gun.

Re: Rock River PDS

I replaced the stock with the RRA Operator when I bought mine. It's a big improvement (its no UBR, though)over the tupperware that comes with the PDS.

Sighting with an eotech and 3x magnifier, I was consistently hitting a 2.5" spinner at 100 yds. I've since bought an Aimpoint T1 for it, but haven't had a chance to mount it.

I got the version with the ribbed hand guard, and I couldn't be happier with it. It provides an ergonomic grip that looks, and feels, better than a quad rail.
