ROE V WADE ……….

Putting the decisions in the hands of states, and many states will have clinics and allow it. Not much of the abortion landscape will change, perhaps a few more miles of travel. But, cue the liberal meltdown and misunderstanding of the ruling.

Roe protected a federally recognized right, and Casey overturned the trimester framework and created the "viability" standard for states to regulate abortion. All this new opinion does is remove the barrier to regulate the practice and return the power to state governments.

Roberts flipped on obamacare after media pressure about the legitimacy of the court being in question. He'll flip on this, too, and I bet Gorsuch does as well.

Leaking a draft opinion has never happened in the history of the court.
I think this will probably come true. They leaked it to see what public opinion would be, and possibly to put pressure on the judges.

I wonder who leaked it?

Public opinion is conforming along ideological stereotypes...surprise.

I agree that it was probably leaked as a last ditch effort to pressure the SCOTUS to rethink their vote. Haven't seen any mention of the leaker at least yet.

In all honesty, I doubt much within the industry of abortion will change as a result of this ruling.

Frankly, I hope it is actually going to be overturned. The legality of abortion will then return to the states as Roe should have originally held. At that point, we can all move on from this tiresome subject. Depending on the state, you will be able to have an abortion while in labor, not at all, or something in between.

Imo, ammo prices should drop with this decision if it holds to the official ruling. Read it...enumerated.

Court is already packed, just pressure campaign to keep Breyer from retiring and Roberts in the fold.

This just looks like an attempt to pressure the court to tone down/alter the opinon by leaking an incomplete draft. If this is real the court is going to be looking real hard for the source of that leak.

Call me crazy, but isn't it odd how everyone that supports abortion has already been born?
Maybe they should have been aborted? This really challenges my stance on it...

Crazy far leftist aborting kids means no brainwashed kid, but it’s also killing a baby, shit.

I think this will be the catalyst that pushes Biteme into packing the court
I agree. And when/if they do, shits going to get really bad for everyone, because the new justices they bring in, are going to be activists, not constitutional scholars.

Weak men create hard times. That's where we're at now. Buckle up ladies, cause the next several years are going to be tough.

Probably an unpopular opinion around here but I’m all for abortions. Keeps the fuckers off the dole. I’m not talking about sucking out kids a couple days before they’re due, but I went to the clinic with my high school girlfriend for a morning after pill more than once. The people who shouldn’t be having kids are cranking out the most. The ones who should have kids aren’t getting abortions. Less ticks sucking off the government and voting left is always a good thing in my book. The big issue is I too believe that this will be the catalyst that biden uses to pack the court, then we’re all even more fucked than we are now. And we’re already pretty fucked.

How fucked do we have to get before things really get spicy?

As an aside, how much of a manic do you have to be, to be foaming-at-the-mouth angry that your “right” to decide whether or not a child gets a chance at life is at stake?

Statistics don't lie.

Unwanted children are a burden on the parents, the schools, the state and the corrections system.

Most of the kids are fucked before they have a chance at a decent life.

Single mothers raising children is the cause of alot of today's issues we are dealing with.

Until every orphan no matter how fucked up they are (many are abandoned or given to state due to physical or mental issues, not to mention the mother being a crack head/heroin/meth drunk and the kid being fucked up from birth from that) has a loving family who is willing to adopt and care (IE pay the full cost) then how can you deem its society's responsibility? I do not want to pay for it and would not burden another American taxpayer to do it either.

Ruin a young woman's life because she made a mistake? Not only ruin her life but ruin the kids life and create generations of welfare recipients that is a never ending cycle because no one is there to teach them how to be a human.

Humans are wired to fuck. Its our most strong instinctual drive and you can't change that. We have the technology to change DNA, selectively breed and do a ton of crazy shit no one could have dreamed of a 100 years ago.

Legal abortions are one the greatest things to happen to this nation and have probably slowed the slide into socialism by killing off a future socialists before they have a chance to fuck it up. Its in EVERYONES best interest that people who do not want kids, are allowed to abort them in some reasonable time which honestly i have no idea what that is, the courts and congress can decide.

There it is, folks. Like clockwork.

Its congress's fault. They never addressed the issue on a federal level so it was forced to the courts to decide. USSC has said they want to leave it up to the people to decide.

People want things to be left up to the states? Here you go.

Federal Congress will not and has not tackled the issue, for the obvious.

This means states can set the law of legalizing baby murder instead of the federal government, right?
Yes. There is a bill moving through the CA state legislature AB 2223 it has already passed one committee . It is horrifying.

  • AB 2223 seeks to legalize the killing of babies in California after birth. Depending on how the term “perinatal” is interpreted by the courts, this bill legalizes the infanticide of children several weeks after their birth and possibly as late as their first birthday.
