Been visiting here a few weeks upon recommendation of a friend from another shooting forum. X-Navy, LEO 20 yr patrol reserve, retired oilfield, current grandpa and local range RSO. Mostly into handguns and carbines. Decided I "need" a long range rifle to be complete.
After reading some VERY informed reviews here, talking with my Sniper's Hide buddy, and taking into consideration my age and intended purpose for owning a long range rifle (center of mass shots at 500 yds and less), I have ordered a Rem 700 AAC-SD 308, Burris Eliminator III, Harris BRM-S and Thunderbeast 30P-1. Should have everything but the "can" within a week. Looking forward to dropping in on you guys from time to time.
