Agreed! Schools are for learning, not for liberal teachers to preach their personal (and downright fucked) views on impressionable kids. Been a while since I was in school, but I have some younger siblings who went through similar. Their history consisted of "world after 1945". My thoughts were; someone smarter than that teacher wrote those textbooks, that's what you should be reading. The world before 1945 was what shaped us and helped create our great nation. I'm with @ArmyJerry , purge time. These kind of snakes are not going to poison my children's minds with their propaganda.

I do not think that it is possible for us to save the schools. It is easy and popular to come on places where conservative people gather like here on the SnipersHide with these grand ideas about how to fight the leftist indoctrination or lamentations of how the war is lost because we can no longer control the education of out children.

We should fight the leftists at ever turn, but never with threats, and never without the best interests of our children in mind. Speaking of those kids, how many have had luck with the "do as I say, not as I do" school of parenting. Very damm few! If you smoke your kids are 100 times more likely to take up smoking as they would be if you were a non-smoker. Kids have very finely tuned hypocrisy detectors and they will choose to follow what you do not what you say.

My theory is that the best thing to do is show your kids how to live a happy life by working hard to achive clearly defined goals, and encouraging the entire family to help. Cover them with your pride when they do worthwhile things and hold them to a standard that they should put forth their best effort, but allow them to fail and keep going. If we show them that we never quit, and we will never quit on them, then they will never want to quit, and they will never want to choose the easy but false path offered by the Left.

The schools are gone.

Its up to the parents.

Long conversation with 10 yo daughter last night.

They are doing a component on WWII, in particular Anne Frank.

Tried to impress upon her the story of Anne Frank is exactly why our Constitution is so important.

With our strong Bill of Rights our govt is restrained from the abuses suffered by Europe in a world gone mad.

I told them as good people they never want to give up any of their rights as it only puts them in grave danger.

Both kids were there listening. I challenged them that when asked what prevents us from the same fate as Europe they state the Bill of Rights and the amendments that protect us from govt from abuse.

Their school isnt totally horrible but what isnt acceptable requires a counter point from the parents.

The teacher doing current events just has the kids watch CNN for kids for an hour. Pretty much the same as that assignment, but less paper trail.

Its not surprising after seeing what they could get away with when GW was in office, and he is pretty much democrat. Change that R to a
D and they would have loved his policies.

I don't know where yall went to school, but I actually got a pretty decent public school education between northern VA and the UK. Not like I didn't know a ton of dumbasses in my classes, but about 80% of my teachers were outstanding and very objective. I've had some bad ones, though. The dumbest teacher I ever had was from when I lived in the Great Falls area, she tried getting my ass into the slow class because I was basically a year ahead after coming back from the UK. She also hated me, lol. Damn near punished me for spelling "assignment" correctly. I hated her stupid ass so cocksucking much. Most of my other teachers were fucking awesome and sharp as a whip.

The way folks talk about public school now though, kinda wonder if I got lucky back then. Reminds me of that old saying, "I'm not sure if I'm getting older or things are just getting shittier".

When did you go to school?

I had teachers in grade school I can call out and say they gave me inspiration in my life (Ms Shepard, 6th grade 79/80)

I went to school in Boston (UMass 91-95) took a ton of political science/political history classes. Only had one teacher I would call biased (Dave Hunt - History of Vietnam War). Others I have thanked for their unbiased teaching style.

That doesnt happen today.

When I was in HS [ 80's ], politics was only discussed in govt. class. Not an issue. Of course, this was a small town in Nebraska. Not exactly libtard central. In fact, there were faculty members and students that drove trucks w/ gunracks and GUNS. Hell, we even recited the pledge!

The one thing I tell my friend's kids when they are getting fed up with school is something I realized a bit too late to appreciate myself. When you're a kid in school every teacher and administrator is able and willing to help you, they're genuinely on your team. Once you graduate that fucking stops. People don't go out of their way to help you, the class won't slow down for you, and acting out will get your ass in serious trouble. It's something to be taken full advantage of while you have it. As an adult now though, public school is something to be critical of just like any other government controlled program.

Daughter told me today teachers threw a shit show because some kid drew a swastika in a classroom.

Well no shit you are teaching them about WWII and a kid drew a symbol, a symbol that developed spontaneously across cultures separated by oceans.

If there are (were) two universal symbols in the world the Skull (death) and the Swastika (life) are those two universal symbols.

The fucking Nazis ruined both of them.

Ill be teaching my daughter how as a symbol it has no power other than what we give it. Use it in a manner to offend it can offend, use it in a manner as art than its art.

Fucking knee jerk reaction SJW teachers get a chance to explain how evil can take from us and ruin things but instead they just cry out "Nazi's".

Local radio host was talking about it today.

Apparently in 1988 it was a known thing in the media circles.

Someone at the paper he was working at at the time sent out a message "ABC tonight Bush's mistress to be interviewed"

It was a joke message but he didnt know that and it really bummed him out because he thought the info would ensure Michael Stanley Dukakis would be elected President in that election.
