I have a new SS V Seven barrel and after bore scoping I noticed that the lands are rounded off as opposed to being square like many of my other barrels. Is there an advantage or disadvantage either way?
I had heard V7 are actually "polygonal" like Glock barrels. Can't say if they are better but someone once said to look at what the benchrest guys use as far as how barrels are made on the inside... because if there was a magic answer those guys would all be using it.

Many say the poly barrels seal the gas behind the bullet better producing more velocity, they foul less since they do not have 90 degree corners. Back in the day all poly barrels were cut rifled and usually more accurate. I've had some very good Mike Rock barrels over the last 20 years, had a few not so great too but I couldn't say if it was the barrel or chambering.
