You do not see many in the USA outside of the Palma/Open style square range matches.

RPA seemed to have gotten super hard to deal with once Mike Cherry left them years and years ago.
And when OK Weber stopped importing them into the USA.....

Hi,

Because they cannot handle the dirt and debris of field use for the most part.
And with the modern 3 lug actions of today...the quad lug with that stack of bellville washers makes for a pretty heavy bolt lift which is not a big issue in Palma/Open style comps because someone is scoring target anyways and shooter is not focused on spotting hit and "staying on target".
