So I’m looking to get in to a precision rifle. Been doing research for a couple of weeks. Have a few nice bolt guns for hunting and 4 ARs (308, 300ba, 5.56) that I’ve built.

I tend to go overboard so I may end up building. Buy it seems everyone has and loves the RPR so I’m thinking that’s a great place to start.

Problem is, seems every time I buy something they come out with the new and improved version the next day.

My question is.... when will the Gen 4 come out and what will it be?

I'm happy as a pig in mud with my Gen 1 RPR 6.5 Creedmoor. I just put a Proof M24 profile prefit barrel, APA LB brake, and anarchy outdoors verticle pistol grip. Feels and shoots like a brand new rifle.

The RPR is a great, modular platform with generous aftermarket support. If you're gonna build it up, why buy new?

You could Buy a modestly used gen 1 or 2 308 for $750 ish (or less) and go balls deep

I like the way you think but I want 6.5, mlok, and the “brown” is totally screaming at me.
