I got a Rock River LAR-8 a few months back and just recently got the money to buy the scope and what not for it. Rock River advertises it as .308 so I put two boxes of 308 through it when I got it and it ran fine, but after that I was looking at the barrel and it is stamped 7.62 NATO. So I started shooting 7.62x51 out of it and some of the rounds don't fit in the mag very good and rub the front of the mag and cause the gun not to feed 100% of the time. So i'm wondering, if it's advertised as .308 and even says .308 on the lower yet says 7.62 on the barrel, what could happen if I shoot .308 out of it?

Strange - I had to mill about a 1/4" from the front edge of the PRS cheekpiece in order to use it on my LAR-8.

Strange- I don't have a PRS on as of yet, have it but not installed. To put one on you need to cut 1/4 off cheekpiece or add stock extender. No big deal you can get them from Midway.
