Got a question. I have the Rock River Arms Operator Stock. The butt pad folds down to reveal (2) compartments for holding AA or 123A's batteries. This compartment has a cap with 2 o-rings (1 O-ring for each compartment) on it to make sure it is secured into the rear of the stock. Now in the field, it is a bitch to get this cap off. At home, a screw driver or anything else with a flat edge makes good for prying it off.

You guys with the same stock, have you done anything to modify in getting the cap off with just your fingers like I would think it was intended to be?

Re: RRA Operator Stock

Obviously the Orings are creating a water tight seal, that's why they are tough to get off. A multi tool or even a key would pop it out easily in the field. BTW, I love the RRA stocks! Cheekweld is similar to a Sopmod at half the cost! I just put a fixed A2 Operator on my precision build as it came with tube, buffer, spring, etc for $115!! At least until I can afford a PRS!

Re: RRA Operator Stock

I own both the collapsible operator stock and the A2 version, they are great products and I've been very happy. The sliding back can be set a different notches for different placement in your shoulder.

The compartment should get easier to open with use, after being ripped out and push back in. It still stays sealed, but shouldn't be as stiff.

Great stock, very underated I believe. It doesn't very much attention-
