RRRC to hold Long Range 22 LR Match

Roanoke Rifle and Revolver Club in VA is now holding a long range 22 LR. Match.

Long Range 22 LR.

The match will be steel from 50yds. to 250 yds. Side shoots may run 330yds. and beyond. Most shooting will be from Benches with Bi-Pods and rear bag or sand bags and rear bag. No machine rest. Some stages may be shot from Barricade or barrels. No movement. Steel will be gongs from 12” to 1”, spinners 1” to 3/16”

RRRC has a 500yds range with 20 bench covered firing line with tables behind the benches. We shoot rain or shine.

Classes:

Factory: (base gun price will be $700.00) with factory stock and trigger. Trigger job is ok.

Open: anything goes.

Cost will be $20.00 per gun with $ 10.00 coming back to the shooter. You can enter 2 different guns, if time permits

Chamber flags are required at all time. Until shooter in told to load and make ready.

Match will be 5 to 6 stages with a round count from 60 to 100 rounds. Bring extra for shoot offs may be needed.

Match dates May 29th, July 31st, Oct. 30th.

Shooter should bring lunch / snacks and water.

I have not used Practiscore myself at all. My club uses it for IDPA, I will check with them.

I have a few questions coming to me about this match. First, to sign up, just send me an email with the names for who is coming. you can just show up also.
Next, this match is NOT a PRS/NRL22 type match. We can only shoot stages at a time. To save time we will have 5 shooters on benches ready to shoot. The first shooter will start, when finished, the shooter shows clear, and insert chamber flag, then the next shooter can start shooting. The first shooter will clear the bench and will be replaced with a new shooter, and so on. one stage will be a money stage in the match.
We will have a short sight in before the first stage. Most stages will have a larger target down to a 1 MOA target. We will shoot at 50yds, 100yds, 150yds, and 200yds. one stage will run from 75yds to 250yds A side match will be at 330yds with 3" gong. There will be sighters before record rounds. $5.00 to enter one shooter will take all.

It will have some of the same. maybe a small KYL at 50 to 80 yds. a single golf ball size target at 140yds. and one stage with dial up out to 250yds and a side match.
