Can you give us more details on how to do that?
The bolt/knob is only held on with lock tight. Wrap the knob with electrical tape and a rag, put some pliers on it, and remove the knob.
Take bolt/knob to Home Depot, put it in their bolt size finder, and get a package of new bolts longer than you think you’ll need. Get the package that comes with a few nuts as well. Also, grab a tap from the tool section the same threads as the bolt you buy.
When you get home, put two nuts on the bolt, tighten them against each other, and put it in a vise. The nuts protect the threads.
Cut the head off of the bolt (longer than you think you’ll need) and get a small file to slightly taper the end of the freshly cut bolt. Remove the nuts.
When you get the Harris lever (mine is the Caldwell) you will get two inserts. Using the insert that has the smaller opening, run the tap into the threads.
Put it all together and test for function. If you need to remove a little more, take it apart, put the nuts back on, cut, file, reassemble.
Once you get it sized right, apply a small drop of lock tight to the end you screw into the RRS plate, reassemble, and let it dry. Shoot and enjoy.
Sorry I can’t remember the sizes but it’s easy to find at Home Depot using the thread thing in the hardware section.
