Curious on folks’ success with rings ability to return to zero? I know the APA rings advertise as being return to zero but I haven’t used them. How about other quality rings like Hawkins, NF, Badger?

Context is that I have a rifle I want to swap between day scope and thermal for night and I’d prefer rings over a unimount on the scope. The thermal has a Bobro QD

I did a test recently with NF Ultralight rings and found they did RTZ repeatably.
I also tested Burris XTR rings, they would RTZ in the vertical but had huge horizontal spread which I put down to the way the base clamps.

I have a set of Recknagel rings I intend to test soon and can report back.
But it's fair to say that yes quality ring will RTZ reliably.
