Anyone have any experience with a Ruger 77/22. I just re-discovered mine after about 20 years. Are there any mounting devices for some optics besides the clamp route?
Thanks, Tim.

Re: Ruger 77/22

I used this http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=482967 along with these http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=416175 and the .020 inserts http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=152777 to get enough elevation to reach 200 yards. I free floated the barrel which created quite a bit of barrel droop compared to the factory pressure point at the forend of the stock. I put the Burris insert +.020 in the rear ring and reversed the front insert for -.020.

Re: Ruger 77/22

I took an old Redfield Base, flipped it upside down in the mill, and a bit later had a 40MOA base. drilled and tapped 3 screws in the Ruger rail and mounted it. I don't think I'll run out of elevation til it gets way out there. I thought someone made a 20-30MOA one piece clamp on base for these, but couldn't find any in the catalogs at the shop.
