Gunsmithing ruger 77/22mag conversion

i have a ruger 77/22 mag and am wondering if i can install a regular 22lr barrel and where i can get mags that would feed properly. is this even possible,

Yes, I turned my LR into a Mag(don't still have the parts). Brownell's has all you need, which is a 22lr trigger guard, mags, and barrel. Pretty sure this is the trigger guard you need. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=11301/Product/TRIGGER_GUARD_ASSEMBLY

Bore is differant on the 22mag. 22lr has a smaller bore than the 22mag. 224 for the mag, 222 or 221 on the rimfire.
