Either my google foo is weak or the info is just not out there but I'm trying to find a one piece picatinny base for my father-in-law's Ruger American. He contacted Ruger and couldn't get a hold of anyone that seemed to have even a basic understanding of what he was talking about. He contacted Brownells and they said they had him taken care of but the base he received wasn't even close.

He sent me the measurements but I don't have the rifle in front of me.

Thanks a lot!

Re: Ruger American One Piece Base?

It looks like the rifle is shipped with the Weaver #46 mounts. According to Midway the #46 fits the Savage 110's the Weatherby Mark V and the Winchester Model 70. I would assume the hole spacings should be the same from model to model.

Maybe you should order SA or LA which ever is appropriate under the model 70? Only thing I can think of short of referring to your measurements.

Re: Ruger American One Piece Base?

Thanks for the reply.

The screw holes are 5.30" from the forward most hole to furthest hole in the rear of the receiver. The front two holes are 0.6" apart as are the two in the rear of the receiver.

I'm thinking a base for the current production Savage 110 will work but, I don't have one to measure. The evidence is just pointing in that direction.
