Nobody uses Ruger in the sense of a Precison rifle for a very good reason: accuracy.
Yes, they'll hunt all year and keep going, reliably. But the trigger and action have more than a bit to be desired and to get one that shoots MOA groups is usually a bit rare and requires some work. I have seen ONE that did shoot sub-MOA from the box, however the vast majority will not do this and to get them to this standard will require some considerable work. You can purchase a different brand rifle at the same (or lower price in the case of the ruger tactical) price and have it already shoot sub MOA.
Personally, i'd go for one of the more reccomended brands if you want a Tactical rifle. Remington 700 has a huge following, and the Tikka T3 is made to the same standards as a Sako TRG. Savages are ugly but will shoot lights out all day and never stop working, and the Howas are just becoming accepted as an awesome value-for-money rifle with surprising accuracy.
