Rifle Scopes Ruger M77 scope base

Is there a good solution for a scope base for the proprietary Ruger scope base system? I want to get away from the factory rings and would like to use a standard base rail. Is there a base that attaches to the Ruger notches, or is it better to just get it drilled and tapped?

I don't know if you have noticed but the rings are higher in the front and shorter in the back. You can't just add any rail if its been drilled due to it not laying flat. Here are some ideas.

Thanks for the assist, that's exactly what I was looking for, and seems to be a great price on the two-piece. Now, follow up question, is the one-piece necessary, or is a two-piece base ok?

It all depends on how much you plan on mounting, USO bubble or anything you might need more rail for. If not the two piece is fine and cheaper.

I guess the prudent thing to do would be to spend the money upfront instead of potentially having to buy a one-piece down the road, after spending the money on a two-piece set.

Check out Ken Farrell. He makes a one piece rail that will fit. We had to drill the top to secure it, but it is a great 20MOA setup.

Thanks for the info, looks like he only makes it for SA, this is for a 30-06.

I ended up using the Burris adapters and then the Burris Signature rings to get 20 minutes. It has worked well for a year now.

I think that the burris rail may be the way to go.
