I want to build a MK III with a gemtech upper but I can't find lowers without buying a whole gun and scraping the upper. Anyone found these lower for sale?

Re: Ruger MK lll lower

They are extremely rare. Ruger won't sell them and nobody else (that I know of) is making them. If someone ever does they would make a killing because of the suppressed uppers and other aftermarket uppers available.

I think you can sometimes find them on Gunbroker, but you'll probably just have to buy a whole new/used pistol.

There's a SS one on GB right now for about $150 that includes everything but the actual receiver tube. It's a seizure weapon that has the receiver destroyed and the parts are being sold off.

I can't find the link right now or I'd post it, but that is probably your best route for finding one.

Your experience is typical amongst those of us that have done this. My dad and I just said "screw it" and bought complete pistols and used them instead.

Re: Ruger MK lll lower

I looked and looked for a host lower for my Tactical Solutions PAC-lite upper but couldn't find one. I did find a deal on a complete 22/45. It wasn't exactlywhat I wanted but the price was right at $250 new. I just got the PAC-lite so I hope to have it on tomorrow. It will get a SWR spectre on it.
