Rugers .338 Lapula thoughts?

Next year I want to bump my game up to a .338 Lapula. The Rugers is certainly affordable, but can it contend? What are the pro and cons of Rugers .338? I have a Ruger 6.5 creedmoor and it performs great. Has any one owned the Ruger and loved it then shot somthing else and went this is way better then my ruger because? I just want to hear everyones thoughts.

300 PRC has equal, if not better ballistics with less recoil and the ammo is 1/2 the price. If you like your ruger I see no reason not to get another. Your already familiar with the platform and there's a wide array of aftermarket upgrades if accuracy isn't up to snuff. That said, unless you're shooting at 1500+ yards or hunting large game at long distances anything larger than your Creedmoor is kind of a waste.

I plan on shooting it from 1 mile to 1.5 miles.

The 300PRC still runs neck and neck with the Lapua at 1/2 the price, but either will work in that case.

Buy one and cut the barrel down to 10 inches and use black powder with 40 grn vmax. 22 sabots to mitigate recoil. I mean why not right?
