    Somewhere
How much more shall we ask of our troops?
I pray for this young man as I know what he has ahead of him.
I also pray that his wife and family stay fast.

Lastly, thank God for the people that came together to pull this off.
24,0000 gallons of fuel to get him home, wow.
If this story doesn't offer you humility nothing will.

They Weren't Gonna Stop:' Inside the 8,000-Mile Race to Save a Wounded Soldier's Life

    Damn. Talk about heroic measures.

The video posted at the bottom of the story is well worth viewing too.
I can totally relate to the video.
This young man has a VERY VERY long road to hoe.
He's going to come out of the drug induced coma and be so weak that he won't be able to even move a finger.
I pray he has what it takes to make it, a lot of that will be easier when he sees his family.

THAT is just F'n awesome! Situations like that, makes me feel proud of the men and women in our Militaries. Times like these, during my career, I've been very proud to do my duty and perform as needed. Hu-F'n-rrah!! Mac (y)(y)

I learned 3 things from this article:

    - It's totally worth it. Especially when compared to how much money we waste on other countries' bullshit and bullshit people.

    - We can get anything done if we just stop wanting to whine about it and just do it instead. Being on the ground knowing people will go to these lengths for you is a huge deal. Otherwise, when the faggot fuck politicians get involved and they're more worried about shit tier peoples' feelings and optics, you tend to just not really do much as far as 'mission'.

    - Wounded soldier totally married a stripper.

I'll agree with that probability without further comment.

I will say the article stated she was in Savannah when notified. To my knowledge, there is only one Special Operations unit there. That kind of points out what unit it is.

Still, just glad he made it home. And yes, he's got a long hard row to hoe after this.

That's the nice thing about having a command that has balls and supports the mission the way we were intended to.
Our people have been handcuffed since WWII and part of Korea.
I am just amazed at how many moving parts had to come together.
This story really strikes a cord with me.
It would be nice to get his name to send him a card with besh wishes with money to help his family.
Being on a vent is no fun,my lungs still hurt.
It will.be a year April 23rd that I was on one for 39 days.

The benefit to this young man is obvious, and my best wishes for his recovery.

The benefit to the rest of us is that the men and women that helped save his life will eventually make their way into the civilian medical field, and will use the knowledge of this valiant struggle to save many more lives over the coming years and decades.
